Newburgh is a small town in North Fife on the south bank of the Tay Estuary. The games and boat race are part of a very active calender of events in the town. There are well established events such as the annual Oddfellows march, the autumn fruit markets, the Riding of the Marches and many others. Various arts and craft events are recent additions. The town is also well known locally for its successful fund-raising coffee mornings in the Tayside Institute.

The ‘games’ coffee morning on the 21st April was very busy and has raised over £700 to help support this year’s Highland Games.
